1 cup milk, scalded
Makes 6 servings.
1 cup soft bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated American cheese
2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
1 tablespoon wild Oregano
1 tablespoon Thyme (rubbed)
1/2 tablespoon ground Rosemary
3 egg yolks
3 stiff-beaten egg whites
1. Combine milk, crumbs, cheese, butter, seasonings.
2. Stir in yolks. Fold in whites.
3. Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
4. Place in pan of hot water; bake in slow oven (135-149 C degrees) till firm, 30 to 45 minutes.
